The History Channel's show "How the Earth Was Made" features many aspects of the Geology portion of Earth Science. Does it have the potential to be a valuable tool for Earth Science teachers and students?
Just say the Loch ness episode for the first time today. I wish I would have seen it earlier when I was doing relative dating, sure my students would have found it useful.
I think, especially since, many children are "visual" learners, or have auditory processing disorder (APD) related to a learning disability (LD) or an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), this movie can be VERY useful for students in classrooms.
Dang, wish we saw that episode when we were doing relative dating. Oh well, we could do it during review at the end of the year.
